Lessons from overseas: IDRC outcome mapping and the Alberta Rural Development Network experience (13) [EN]

Leslie Ayre-Jaschke, Alberta Rural Development Network; Wayne Shillington, NorQuest College

May 2, 2010, 1:00pm - 4:00pm - Intermediate to advanced - 20 seats

This workshop will introduce participants to the three-stage, 12-step Outcome Mapping process, an approach to monitoring and evaluation that was developed by the Ottawa-based International Development Research Centre (IDRC) to better demonstrate how development work contributes to social change. Using the early experiences of an Alberta-wide initiative, the Alberta Rural Development Network, the workshop will explore how this process can be adapted in the design of a monitoring and evaluation strategy for other programs.
